Day 96 Thursday 27th September Devils Marbles – Alice Springs

Up early to pack up before the heat as hot night, temperature didn’t drop below 27 degrees!! Once packed up we did a short walk through the Marbles and took some photos. Met a nice couple from Victoria who had done a similar trip to us 25 years ago with their 3 children also!  We arrived in Alice Springs around 1pm after a short stop at the Tropic Of Capricorn Landmark.  Checked into our caravan park  www.macrange.com.au / in Alice Springs. After unhitching the van we headed off to get some lunch and fit in a little sightseeing. We visited the School of the Air which the girls found fascinating, Jason and Leanne noticed a huge difference from the last time we visited in 2003 since they had converted from radio to satellite where the children use a webcam to see their teachers and other students. The girls bought a book and donated it to the  School of the Air Library, putting their names in the front cover, for the students to read…After this we went to view Alice from the Anzac Hill Lookout. Back to the park then where we all cooled off in the pool. It was a hot day and night, temps 27-36degrees.!
