Cool nights sleep for first time in ages we all zipped up our sleeping bags!!!! After breakfast we set off to the canyon to do the rim walk, 5.9 kms. It took us just under 3 hours to do this walk with a few short stops along the way. The start of the walk was quite steep as we climbed up the cliff face, then the track meandered over the plateau and some breathtaking views over the canyon. About 2 kms in we followed stairs down into the Garden of Eden ( or " garden of Evil" as Ava thought we said!) we continued on up the stairs to the other side and completed our hike. After this we went back to our campsite to have a swim and some lunch, followed by a lazy afternoon. Early dinner then we went up to the Outback BBQ to listen to the bush duo "The Roadies" They were very entertaining getting the kids up on stage first playing instruments then the parents were dragged up.Jasons group of Dads were made to each wear an enormous cowbell one at a time while the others sang "My dingaling"...hilarious. Leanne's group of Mums were made to wear wigs and sing "Dowhatdiddydiddydumdiddydo" . Lots of fun.... After this the 3 girls did 2 karaoke songs, which they sang " You're the one that I want" and "Papa don't preach" they did a fantastic job of both and were awarded with cheers and applause both times....They were super keen & we think they got a taste of it....more to come....?
