Day 48 Friday 10th August. Karumba (Fishing Charter)

Jason & Keith went out on a fishing charter while Margie & Leanne caught up on some washing & relaxed around the pool. 98% of tourists in this caravan park are grey nomads so the girls missed having others there age  to interact with. One lady in the laundry said she had been in park since April & wouldn't be leaving till September as she was from Geelong & hated the cold. Apparently in the wet season the whole park is under water, and when it opens depends entirely on when the road opens! Guys came home with approx 20 salmon each so had quite a bit of work to do at the fish cleaning station while Margie & Leanne made some chips and salad. Lovely seafood dinner.
Sunrise on the way to the fishing location. Between 9 of us on the boat we caught approx 105 Blue Salmon. These ranged in size from about 400mm in length to the largest approx 800mm. Great days fishing with Kerry D charters. www.kerrydfishing.com.au
This Croc was sunning itself directly opposite the boat ramp in Karumba, this is a classic reminder why you don't swim in any of these waters.
