Day 47. Thursday 9th August. Leichardt Lagoon – Karumba

Left at 9am, stocked up on supplies in Normantown and photo of giant crocodile in main street. Arrived in Karumba at our pre booked site at 10.30am. http://www.sunsetcp.com.au/This  site was booked months before leaving for trip as the sites are very sought after, we even tried to bring forward our booking but were unable to, hence the overnight stay nearby in Leichardt Lagoon.  After setup we enjoyed a swim in the pool and later enjoyed “happy hour” overlooking the sunset on the beach with Margie and Keith.

 A life size replica of the largest Croc ever captured in the world. It was 8.63 meters long and stood as tall as one of our youngest girls. It was estimated to weigh over 2 tonnes.
